An opportunity to learn about the first section of the HHFT to be constructed,

starting in late summer or early fall of 2021. The impetus to the project was

the increasing popularity of hiking at Breakneck Ridge, visited by over 100,000

hikers annually. Improving pedestrian and auto safety along State Route 9D,

protecting quality of life for local residents who regularly use this corridor,

and mitigating erosion and habitat infringement on Breakneck Ridge are

important project goals—don’t miss this opportunity to ask questions and

see visuals of this transformative project!

“Exploring the New Vision: The Breakneck Connector & Bridge” includes

panelists Amy Kacala, Executive Director of Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail, Inc.

and the award-winning teams from SCAPE Landscape Architecture,

Gray Organschi Architecture, and Fast + Epp Engineers.
